Saved by the Bell is one of the most iconic shoes of the late 80s and early 90s. It lauched the careers of some of the best actors of our time.
It has been over 26 years since Saved by the Bell has gone off air and we want to know what Zack, Slater, Screech, Lisa and the others have been upto. Let's see what the cast have been upto since Graduation in December 5, 1992.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris)
The central character on Saved by the Bell, Zack Morris is academically gifted student, who does not put in much effort. He was also an all-rounder, in the fields of cross country, basketball and track among sports. He was also a good singer and had a knack for playing guitar.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar had reprised his role as Zack in the comedic Saved by the Bell reunion on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon 2009. He was most recently seen in the 2016 film Precious Cargo and was also the main lead in Pitch, which was cancelled by Fox after the first season.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski)
Kelly was the quintessential popular girl of Saved by the Bell. The head cheerleader and the captain of volleyball, swim team and softball teams, along with being a good student, she is the love interest of Zack.
Tiffani had also appeared on the reunion event on the Jimmy Fallon show along with her former cast mates. She is currently the host of a cooking series Dinner at Tiffani's and will also star in the TV show Alexa & Katie, in which she will take on one of the leading roles of Lori Mendoza.
Dustin Diamond (Samuel "Screech" Powers)
Screech is the token geek of his peer group, and has appeared as a series regular from the beginning of the franchise to the end, having appeared on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, Saved by the Bell, Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Despite his obvious intellect and academic caliber, Screech lacked the grasp of social skills.
Dustin Diamond, who played the role of Screech was most recently seen in the Cartoon Network's late night show Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell as himself. He has faced some legal troubles in the past, having been arrested for the possession of a switchblade knife in 2014, which he allegedly pulled out during a bar brawl in which a man was stabbed. In 2015 he was arrested for two counts of misdemeanors - carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.
Dustin who was arrested in June 2015, was granted probation after serving three months in prison. However, he for arrested in May 2016 for violating the terms of his probation.
Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater)
Slater, the popular jock of the group, excelled in football, wrestling and most other sports you can think of. As an Army brat Slater has live in many places all over the world, including Bolivia, Italy, Iceland and Berling. The character, which was meant to be Caucasian was turned into a Latin role after Mario Lopez charmed the showrunners during his audition.
If you don’t know Mario Lopez in this day and age, you certainly have been living in a den. Having appeared on many reality shows and having hosted a countless number of TV shows and events, Mario Lopez is arguably the most popular star - who still remains relevant - to come out of Saved by the Bell.
Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano)
The strong-willed liberal feminist Jessie was a romantic interest for Slater on the show. She is very driven and desired to be accepted into Stanford University. It was ultimately her need to be the best that resulted in her addiction of caffeine pills.
Elizabeth Berkley, who played the role of Jessie is also known for portraying Nomi Malone in the 1995 film Showgirls. She is an animal rights activist and in 1997, donned a $600 form-fitting gown made entirely of collard greens for the "Lettuce Be Lean" campaign. She was last seen in a guest role in Fox's New Girl in 2016.
Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle)
Lisa, who is the rich girl of the group, was seen shooing off the advances of Screech for most of the show. Despite admonishing Screech, she does value him as her friend, and even attends the prom with him. Unlike the other girls on the show, Lisa does not have a long-term relationship, but had gone on a date with Zack once.
Despite being one of the most promising talents on Saved by the Bell, Lark Voorhies is no longer in the spotlight. She was nominated for the Young Artist Award six times, winning in 1990 and 1993 for portraying Lisa.
Her mother Tricia has claimed that Lark has bipolar disorder. Meanwhile, her former boyfriend Dustin, who played Screech, had said Lark would "stare into space" and that "it wasn't the Lark I knew," in an interview with People.
